- Ice or cold pack on the middle or your lower back
- Try not to just sit, unless it feels better than standing
- Don't lie down for long periods of time, try to get up and walk around, and make sure to try to increase how long you can walk without experiencing pain.
- Take over the counter NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
